Do you want to lose fat?
The great news, is that it is possible! - Without all of the gimmicks and "diet pills" that magically melt fat, but instead cost a whole lot of $$$, yet never really work except to make your wallet a lot lighter!

I've put this website together so that I can share with my friends and family, and anyone else out there who would like to learn more about what worked for me!
Over the past year, I've been asked by friends, family, and co-workers on what I have done to lose weight and some people said they hardly recognized me after not seeing me for a long while - and thus, I wanted to share what I have learned. I could never have imagined ever fitting into a size 4 dress in my whole life - even in high school which i consider my "skinny" days, i fit in size 6. Amazingly enough, and sometimes i still have to check the mirror twice - I am a size 4 and in some clothes even a size 2. Wow...it still amazes me to write that.

What are fat cells and how do they work?

Fact 1: We are born with a certain number of fat cells.
Fact 2: The unfortunate thing is that we cannot lose fat cells once you have them
Fact 3: The other bad news is that you can actually gain fat cells if you eat excessively, especially during late childhood/puberty, during pregnancy, and as an adult & gain an extreme amount of weight.

Some other facts:

  • A lean adult usually has approximately 40 billion fat cells
  • The average overweight person has around 75 billion fat cells
  • An obese person will have 250+ billion fat cells

The term Hypertrophic means to increase the size of a cell. In this case: the fat cell gets bigger. If you are overeating excessively and the fat cell gets so big, it causes it to split which is called Hyperplastic which is an increase in the number of fat cells due to this split.

How do I burn fat and lose weight?
As mentioned above, you cannot lose the # of fat cells you have once you have them, however what you can do is SHRINK those fat cells by reducing the amount of fat you have in each fat cell.

Here comes the truth about what comes next if you truly do want to lose weight:
It will take hard work and discipline to eat healthy!
I know a lot of people don't want to hear this. They want something that will magically melt the pounds away, but the truth is that your body is made in a certain way and you need to treat it right. It is your temple, so it deserves to be taken care of so that it will last you and serve you well in your lifetime.

Will you do the right thing for yourself to live a long and healthy life? To be there for your special partner in life, for your children? To avoid the biggest health risks today which is heart disease, diabetes and obesity?

I honestly, didn't think anything could work and just accepted  "yo-yo" dieting & binge eating as a reality...but instead I found that eating healthy really can set you free and that it truly does work. Amazingly, makes you feel better, healthier and have more energy!

If you want to lose fat, the good news is that YOU can!!

I've read countless books and spent tons and tons of money on trying to find the right way to lose weight. Instead of you having to look any further, I want to share the information that I've learned during my journey so that you can lose fat the healthy way too! IT IS POSSIBLE.

To be honest, I never thought it was possible - after such a long time of searching and trying every diet, I became jaded over time and said to myself "I guess this is just the way it will be for life. It's just too hard to lose weight and I'll never be as skinny as I was in high school"

My boyfriend said to me one day: "You have a really small frame". I took offense and said - No I don't!! I'm bigger boned and I'll never be that skinny. It's just not possible for me. So leave me a lone!"

Now two years later, it seems that i have to eat my words, because I was the one who was wrong!

My Story

I've been asked by many friends, family and co-workers, how I have achieved my weight loss goals since they have noticed such a significant change over the past year and that I've managed to still keep the weight off!

I have been struggling with my weight for over the past 10+ years, going up and down on the scale. Remember, no matter what you do and why you are searching to lose weight, that you are beautiful no matter what size you are! Your heart and who you are as a person is the most important thing!

I want to share my story because  it has really changed my life for the better. I've learned a lot about the importance of eating well and living a longer, healthier life and to have more energy to do the things I love to do!

Where I Started

At my heaviest I was tipping the scale at almost 170lbs. This was due to a lot of eating (I LOVE all kinds of food) and not exercising a lot.

I was in university and stopped playing soccer, and all I did was eat sleep and study. The pounds slowly crept on and before I knew it I had gone from 138lbs at the beginning of university within 2 years, I was 170lbs. My pants size was a size 13!!

And thus the yo-yo dieting began. I tried so many different kinds of dieting.

I knew of a diet/detox that included eating only steamed broccolli and green vegetables for the first 4 days, and it was pure torture!! After about two weeks of that pain, I was then slowly allowed to add in some fish, and chicken, and life got easier.

Let me tell you, it was NOT fun, but I managed to get my weight down to 155lbs or so. And there I stayed for about the next 7 years. In the middle of that I started working, and that made it worse, not easier to lose weight. I just sat all day sometimes 16 hours a day in front of a computer and ate, and ate and ate. My only saving grace was playing soccer once or twice a week that got me running for at least a couple times a week.
